How Giroku writes its earnings pages

Every figure comes from the company's own filing and is checked by code. Every sentence is approved by a person before it is published.

Where the figures come from

Every figure comes from the company's own results release: the document it files with the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on the day it reports. Each page links to that filing on sec.gov.

Before a page is published, code reads a saved copy of the filing and checks that each figure is on the line the page names, in the right column. Every other number in the text must come from the filing. Quotes must match the filing word for word.

Changes from a year before are worked out by Giroku from the two figures shown beside them.

What Giroku leaves out

No share prices, price targets, analyst estimates, consensus figures, ratings or recommendations. The pages describe the business as the company reported it, never the shares.

Report dates come only from the company's own announcement or its filings, never from a guess. Until a company announces its date, the season page shows when it reported a year before.

Who writes the words

The text is written by Claude, an AI model made by Anthropic, for Giroku, from the company's filing. A person reads each page against the filing and approves it before it is published. Each page shows the day it was approved.

How companies are picked

Giroku covers the seven companies the market press calls the Magnificent Seven: Apple, Microsoft, Alphabet, Amazon, Nvidia, Meta and Tesla. The list is fixed for the season and is never chosen from what Giroku's users hold or follow.

When pages change

A company page appears once the company has reported and a person has approved its text. A page changes when the company files something new or a correction is needed, and it shows the date of every change.

Not investment advice

These pages are general information about what companies reported. They are not investment advice or a recommendation to buy or sell any security, and reading them creates no adviser relationship with Giroku.

The person who runs Giroku may own shares in companies on these pages.

Report an error

If a figure, date or sentence is wrong, email support@giroku.app with the page's address. Giroku answers within two working days and shows each correction on the page with its date.
